As per the letter, the authority had held a hearing on June 25, during which it received a last-minute request from the DSP’s office to postpone it. The panel directed both parties to submit any requests for consideration in advance to facilitate the next hearing on July 24.

The complainants stated that Junior Engineer Deepak Kumar (Public Health) had filed a false countersuit under the SC/ST Act against them to suppress their case, but investigation by the then DSP, Sadhu Ram, had found the complaint to be false and motivated by personal vendetta. Despite this, Goyal and Kumar submitted a complaint to the SP’s office on February 2, which went unaddressed by the police. The complainants alleged the police only four people and not all those involved.
