The Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (UHBVNL) will hear complaints related to financial disputes of more than Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 3 lakh on June 26. The proceedings of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of the Rohtak zone will be held on June 26 in the conference hall of Rajiv Gandhi Vidyut Sadan, Sector12, Karnal, from 11 am to 1 pm.

He informed that the cases of wrong bills, electricity rates-related cases, meter security related cases, damaged meters and voltage-related cases of consumers of the districts falling under the Rohtak zone will also be resolved. Cases of electricity theft, misuse of electricity and fatal non-fatal accidents etc. will not be considered. For settlement of any dispute between the consumer and the corporation, before submitting a complaint related to financial disputes in the forum, the consumer will have to deposit the claimed amount for each month calculated on the basis of the average electricity charges paid by him during the last six months or the amount equal to the electricity charges payable by him, whichever is less. During this time, the consumer will have to certify that the matter is not pending before the court, authority or forum because the cases pending in the court or forum will not be considered during the meeting.

The Nigam has appealed to the consumers to get their problems resolved by participating in the proceedings.
