Haryana has ranked fifth best in Covid cure rate in country and ranks third best among bigger states. As per data uploaded on the website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding 32 affected states and union territories, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Goa have become Covid free with 100 per cent cure rate and have fewer number of patients with Arunachal Pradesh one, Manipur two and Goa seven.
Chhattisgarh has a cumulative number of 36 positive cases out of which 30 recovered with 83.3 per cent recovery rate. In Kerala, 451 had tested positive out of which 331 discharged with recovery rate of 73.4 %. Ladakh, a union territory, has a cumulative number of 20 patients out of which 14 recovered with 70 per cent recovery rate.
Haryana has so far recorded 288 positive cases, including 14 Italian nationals, and out of them 191 have recovered till today making the recovery rate 66.3 per cent.
Neighbouring state Punjab has a recovery rate of 23.4 per cent as 72 patients have recovered out of a total of 308 cases while Chandigarh has a success rate of 53.6 per cent with 15 recovered patients out of 28. Himachal Pradesh has a recovery rate of 45 per cent.
State is placed at a better rank as compared to its neighbouring states. According to Health and Family Welfare Additional Chief Secretary Rajeev Arora, tracing of contacts, effective lockdown, and high rate of sampling which touched 800 tests per million population on Saturday are the reasons behind state’s success.
“Our success lies in the effective lockdown. Doctors and health workers worked hard with full dedication. We tracked Tablighi Jamaatis in time to check the spread of pandemic. A central team recently visited the state and was satisfied with the measures taken in the state,” said Health Minister Anil Vij. Just three patients died in state with fatality rate of 1.05 per cent. The national cure rate and death rate is 20.9 % and 3.11 per cent respectively.
