The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced that all candidates, who had previously passed the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET), would be eligible to apply for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in the state regardless of the validity period of their certificates. The decision aligns with the Haryana Government’s directive to accept STET/HTET certificates as valid for PGT recruitment. An official spokesperson said the government had decided to extend the validity of STET/HTET certificates. The change would allow candidates with expired certificates to apply for the PGT positions advertised by the HPSC, he added. The HPSC recently advertised 3,069 PGT posts in various subjects. Candidates can submit online applications by August 14. — TNS
