The video of the entire incident went viral on social media. Following the complaint filed by a woman, an FIR was registered against him. Although the dog’s body was buried down by locals, its post-mortem examination would be conducted at the veterinary hospital.

In her complaint, social worker Suman Mishra said it on Saturday night around 11 pm, she received a call from Neetu, who told her that the dog was killed after the taxi driver, Nadeem, ran over him with his car.

“It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that after running the car over the dog, the driver reversed the car and dragged the animal again. Some boys reached there who buried the dead dog, but now I filed a complaint,” Suman Mishra said in her complaint.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against Nadeem under relevant sections of the BNS at the Rajendra Park police station on Sunday.
