The Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, hosted a conclave ‘Shaping Viksit Bharat 2047 through global alliances’ at its campus here, today. Dr Petre Roman, former Prime Minister of Romania, who was invited as chief guest, stressed upon the need to strengthen ties between India and the European Union through diplomacy, education, and economic collaboration.

“We constantly see that Europe does not erase national systems. The economic factor is always a factor of competitiveness. Where the national systems prove to be efficient, there should be no push for standardisation,” he said. Dr Roman shared his experiences of cooperation between European nations.
