Structures razed at unauthorised colony in Jatheri-Mamli village

District Town Planner (DTP) Rajesh Kumar said they got information that an unauthorised colony was being developed on around 2.25 acres of land at Jatheri-Mamli village.
He said land owners didn’t take necessary permissions before establishing the colony and carrying out construction work.
He said notices were issued to defaulters under the Urban Areas Act 8 of 1975, but they didn’t comply with the departmental orders.
He further said on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Parth Gupta, he along with his staff, Jagadhri Naib Tehsildar, who was appointed as Duty Magistrate to maintain law and order, and SHO of the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, Yamunanagar, carried out the demolition drive at the colony.
The DTP said during the demolition drive, several kutcha roads, built up sheds and other structures were razed in the illegal colony. The DC and the DTP appealed to the general public to not buy or sell any plot in any illegal colony.
“If any person is found carrying out construction work in an illegal colony, an action of will be taken against him. Constructed structures will be demolished,” said DTP Rajesh Kumar. He said the district administration would continue its action against unauthorised colonies in the future too.
