Haryana’s rich cultural heritage needs to be taken to the younger generation. Haryana’s traditional art and culture needs active promotion from society. Students of media studies can act as active promoters of the cultural legacy.

Noted Haryanvi cultural icons Raghuvinder Malik, Dr Krishna Chaudhary, Harvinder Malik and Surender Narwal shared these highlights of Haryana’s cultural legacy with the students of department of journalism & mass communication of Maharshi Dayanand University during their field visit to the state-level, Saanjhi Utsav, being organised here.

Convener of the field-visit faculty member of department of JMC Sunit Mukherjee said that the students learnt various essential aspects of Haryana’s culture and history during this visit.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
