Kurukshetra: The Millennium School, Kurukshetra, celebrated the arrival of the spring through ‘Andaaz-e-Millennium’. A lot of game stalls were installed. Students tried their luck at each game stall and won attractive gifts. “Andaaz-e-khel kud”, “ao kurafaat karein”, hook the can and arm wrestling were the main attraction. In “andaaz-e-khel kud”, there were ball with pin, unlucky six, angry birds, hold your expressions, riddles and tongue twisters. Andaaz-e-attraction comprised of kids’ zone, horse riding and bumpy jumpy. Principal Dr AK Singh thanked the students, parents and sponsors for making the event a success. He said such events were imperative in life for breaking monotony.

National meet on refrigeration

Faridabad: The Community College of Skill Development of the JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in collaboration with ISHRAE, Gurugram chapter, organised a two days national conference for HVAC, refrigeration and cold chain service engineers and professionals here recently. Participants were apprised about the latest happenings in the refrigeration, cold chain and industry with additional content of technical lectures from industry experts. During the conference, topics which were discussed include an approach of equipment selection on application for cold chain projects, infusion of digital electronics and IOT in HVAC and cold chain for analytical approach for optimised energy efficient system operation and safety and design considering and latest technology updates on ammonia refrigeration systems.

BPS varsity to hold ‘Gyanotsav 2020’

Sonepat: BPS Women University, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, in collaboration with Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi, will organise a two-day ‘Gyanotsav 2020’ which will be inaugurated by Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar on February 14 on the university premises. Stating this to mediapersons on Wednesday, university’s Vice Chancellor Prof Sushma Yadav said during the two days ‘festival of knowledge’, approximately 500 speakers, presenters and exhibitors were expected to share the best practices adopted in education. Claiming that this event was being done for the first time in the state, the VC said the main aim of the event was to share the innovative and path-breaking practices being used by academic institutes. The VC said recruitment against 150 vacant sanctioned posts would be completed on a priority basis.

Seven-day NSS camp concludes

Sonepat: On the concluding day of a seven-day NSS camp organised by three units of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Kanya Gurukul Senior Secondary School at BPS Women University, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, volunteers were given training in first aid and nursing by Red Cross Society expert Ram Kumar under the supervision of the district NSS coordinator, Naresh Saroha. School Principal Sumita Singh listed the activities undertaken by volunteers at village, school and college level during the seven-day camp.
