NSS volunteers felicitated

Hisar: The College of Agriculture at the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University felicitated the volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The university Vice Chancellor, Professor BR Kamboj, presented the best volunteer of the year award to Yashpal, a third year student of BSc (agriculture) in the male category while Ruchika was awarded the best volunteer in the female category.

KU clerical staff trained

Kurukshetra: A one-week refresher course was organised by the Training, Planning and Monitoring Cell of the Kurukshetra University (KU) to increase the efficiency of its clerical staff. The course was organised from July 11 to 16. The university Vice Chancellor, Professor Som Nath Sachdeva, said the KU had introduced the Integrated University Management System, which would bring transparency in the functioning, increase efficiency and save time of the stakeholders.

Poetry anthology book launched

Yamunanagar: A poetry anthology ‘The Peerless Pearls’ by Dr Ritu Kamra Kumar, Associate Professor at Mukand Lal National College of the city, was launched at the Asian Literary Society’s fourth literature festival at Civil Services Officers Institute, New Delhi. The book was launched by Dr Sreenivas Rao, Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi, and Manoj Krishnan, founder of the Asian Literary Society. Dr Ritu was also honoured with the Indian Woman Achiever’s Award in Literature and the book was given the ‘Best Book Award’ in the category ‘non- fiction book’.
