The Chief Secretary Office has issued an advisory with regard to fire safety measures in the state Civil Secretariat.

In an order today, the office said it had been found during inspection that several electrical appliances like tube lights, computers/UPS, printers, oil heaters, heat pillars, room heaters and electric kettles were found in running mode. Such type of carelessness is resulting in wastage of electricity, which is likely to attribute to high electricity bill and may lead to damage of electrical equipment as well as fire incidents.
