Rohtak: Take swift action in crime cases, says Commissioner to police officials

Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner, Rohtak Division, here today directed police officials to initiate swift action in crime cases, especially in the ones against women and children. Verma held a review meeting with the district administration officials on law and order, implementation of welfare policies and programmes launched by the government and the progress of development works in Sonepat.
Verma also said that several cases of cyber fraud were being reported these days and to prevent cybercrime, residents should be continuously made aware so that no person became victim of such frauds.
The Commissioner said that elections to the Lok Sabha and state Legislative Assembly were to be held this year and code of conduct would be implemented. He directed officials to pace up development works and start development works which had been approved.
He directed them to work in the spirit of public service. It is the responsibility of the district administration to deliver the benefits of the welfare schemes and policies to eligible citizens, the Commissioner said.
The Commissioner also directed them to identify poor children who had left their studies and make efforts to get them enrolled in schools. Commissioner Verma also directed officials to make timely payments to MGNREGA workers and for distribution of ration in a transparent manner.
He said the district administration was continuously making efforts to provide benefits to eligible citizens of all welfare schemes. DC Manoj Kumar assured the Divisional Commissioner that his directions would be followed strictly by the administration. Vishram Kumar Meena, Municipal Commissioner, ADC Ankita Chaudhary, Zila Parishad CEO Sushil Kumar and other officers were present during the meeting.
