Taking driving test, man mows down bystander

Ambala, March 6
A man taking a driving test for licence hit a bystander at Ladwa grain market.
Buta Singh of Ladwa, in his complaint, alleged that as it was raining, his younger brother Bhajan Singh had taken shelter under a shed of the Ladwa grain market.
Jagmohan, who was taking a driving test for licence, failed to control his car and hit Bhajan, dragging him to some distance and then ramming into a truck.
Bhajan was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, while Jagmohan fled the spot.
A case has been registered under Sections 279 and 304A of the IPC at Ladwa police station.
Ladwa SHO Rajpal said: “The case has been registered on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. The suspect is yet to be arrested.”
