Tapasya, a second-year BA student of Indira Gandhi National college, Ladwa, clinched the gold medal in the 57-kg weight category at the Senior National Women’s Wrestling Championship held recently at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bangalore (Karnataka).

With the victory, she became the national champion in her weight category and brought laurels to Haryana.

Another student, Jai Karan, a first-year BA student of the college, won the bronze medal in the 55-kg weight category in the North Zone Inter-University Karate Competition recently concluded at Chandigarh University, Chandigarh.

On their return to the college, both Tapasya and Jai Karan were welcomed by the Principal, Dr Kushal Pal, along with sports committee members, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.
