With the model code of conduct coming into force in Haryana, various developmental works and inauguration of projects related to the Kurukshetra Development Board are set to get a little delayed.

According to information, the tenders related to the International Gita Mahotsav-24, allocation of a Tourist Information and Facilitation Centre (TIFC) to a self-help group, inauguration of a souvenir shop at Shrikrishna Museum and a musical fountain show in front of the Aarti Sthala at Brahma Sarovar, and dynamic lighting of Saraswati Dwar in Pehowa are set to get delayed.

Besides this a tender to introduce a bus service to provide tour facilities to the devotees and visitors, to increase religious tourism and make people aware of the historic and religious values of Tirthas was also to be floated but now it will be done after the model code of conduct is lifted.

The board had also invited applications from the beneficiaries for the allotment of stainless steel carts, the date of application was extended but now the beneficiaries have to wait for the poll process to complete to get the carts. Earlier due to the Lok Sabha election, the projects were affected.

Honorary secretary of Kurukshetra Development Board Upender Singhal said "Various projects related of KDB are in the pipeline. Tenders for some of the projects including bus service were to be floated but now it will be done after the model code of conduct is lifted. Some tenders for the various works for the IGM-24 have been already floated and the remaining will be floated in October now”.
