This marks the first time the transfer of college principals is being conducted under the online transfer policy. A circular in this regard was sent to all principals by the DHE on Friday. The circular lists 178 principal posts, with a minimum tenure of 24 months and prescribed tenure of 48 months required at an office (college).

According to the schedule, the transfer process will begin on November 17, with October 31 set as the qualifying date for all service records.

“Only principals who have served at a college for at least two years are eligible to participate. Since most college teachers have been promoted to principal in less than two years, only a few will qualify for this drive,” said a principal.

The process will begin with employees updating their data from November 18 to December 2. Employees will be allowed to validate the revised data and raise objections between December 4 and December 10. Final transfer orders would be generated on February 5, while the joining and relieving process would be completed by February 15.

As per the schedule, the employees will be able to submit an application for grievance redressal to the competent authority between February 6 and March 2. The decision on the grievances of the employees will be taken up from March 3 to March 17.
