Thief strikes at Bahadurgarh shop, decamps with Rs 3.5 lakh

The incident was captured on CCTV, showing a masked man committing the crime with alarming precision and speed.
The shop, located in the Kath Mandi area, is owned by Rajesh of grain market in Bahadurgarh. He deals in wholesale ghee and oil. According to Rajesh, he closed the shop around 7pm on Sunday and returned the next morning only to find the shutter lock broken and the glass door inside also forced open.
“The counter was ransacked, and the cash drawer, which had Rs 3.5 lakh, was empty. That’s when I informed the police,” said Rajesh.
Responding to the complaint, a police team from Linepar police station arrived on the scene and began an initial probe. On Tuesday, the CIA unit along with forensic and fingerprint experts also inspected the premises for evidence.
A masked man was seen breaking the shutter lock in the CCTV camera footage. By 1:57 am, he had gained entry, and within just two minutes—by 1:59 am—he had broken open the glass door locks and drawers, taken the cash, and exited the shop.
The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. However, no leads have emerged
so far.
