Hansi SP Yashvardhan has placed three police personnel, including a Sub-Inspector, under suspension after their police control room (PCR) vehicle met with an accident on July 4.

Though cops claimed that the mishap occurred while they were heading back after escorting PWD Minister Ranbir Gangwa, in reality they were returning from a personal visit to Mundhal village in Bhiwani district.

Those suspended have been identified as SI Raj Kumar, Vijay and Dharampal. As police personnel suffered injuries in the accident, they reported to the media that they had gone to escort the minister and on their way back, they met with an accident.

With inconsistencies in their statements and objections raised by the minister’s staff, Hansi SP inquired into the matter and found that Gangwa reached home at 10:20 PM while the accident took place at 2 AM. Cops involved in the accident would also bear the cost of repair of the PCR vehicle.
