In a tragic incident, three members of a family, including a man and his two nieces, drowned in a canal passing between Rohad and Mandothi villages in the Bahadurgarh area on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Sunil (28), Ragini (10), and Urmi (7).

The incident occurred last evening when Sunil went to the canal to wash clothes, accompanied by his nieces. While playing near the water, the girls reportedly slipped and fell into the canal. In a desperate attempt to save them, Sunil jumped in after them but drowned as well.

Sunil’s body was recovered on Saturday evening, while the bodies of the two girls were retrieved by divers on Sunday.
