The local police on Saturday arrested three contractual employees of the Citizen Resources Information Department (CRID) on charges of preparing false Parivar Pechan Patra (PPP) by tampering with its portal. Interestingly, a complaint in this respect was also filed by one of the employees with an intention to evade action against him.

DSP Dharmvir Singh said Yogesh Kumar, District Manager at CRID, filed a complaint on November 12 claiming that new PPP were being prepared without his permission by hacking his portal log in. The cyber cell of the district police started investigation by registering a case in this respect immediately, he added.

“During investigation, Yogesh along with the CRID’s Zonal head Amit Kumar and operator Vikas Kumar was found indulging in the misdeed. Thereafter, all three contractual employees were arrested. As many as 12 PPP have been found tempered with during the investigation conducted so far,” claimed the DSP.

He said all accused had been taken on police remand for three days to ascertain those others indulging in the crime besides finding out their modus operandi, he added.
