The court of Additional Sessions Judge Sandeep Chauhan has sentenced three accused to 10 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of them for snatching a mobile phone from a two-wheeler rider in Gurugram.

The convicts have been identified as Gulfam, Nitin Vasu, both residents of Devilal Colony, Gurugram, and Ankit, a native of Etah district in Uttar Pradesh. They had snatched a mobile phone from a motorcycle rider on June 17, 2022, following which they had transferred money online using the victim’s mobile phone.

An FIR was registered at the Sector 10 A police station. After the accused were arrested, the police team collected evidence and witnesses against the accused and presented them in the court.

“On the basis of the evidence and witnesses, the court of ADJ Sandeep Chauhan has sentenced three of them to 10 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on them,” said a police spokesperson.
