Three held in connection with recovery of 300 kg chura post

The Anti-Narcotic Cell of the Kurukshetra police has arrested three men in connection with the recovery of 300 kg of chura post.

The suspects have been identified as Manjit Lal, Gopal Rai, Jasvinder, a resident of Punjab.

A Kurukshetra police spokesman said, “Manjit Lal and Gopal Rai braught narcotic from Madhya Pradesh in their Canter, on January 27, following a tip-off, members of the Anti-Narcotic Cell stopped the canter near the Pipli flyover. During checking, 300 kg of chura post was recovered from the Canter and a case was registered at the Thanesar Sadar police station. They were produced before a court which sent Majit Lal to 10-day police remand and Gopal Rai to jail.

On the disclosure of the accused during investigation, Jasvinder, on whose directions the chura post was being smuggled, was arrested on January 28.
