Three, including juvenile, held in murder case
The Ambala police on Tuesday arrested two youths and also held a juvenile in connection with the murder case of a boy, whose body was recovered from the railway track.
The deceased was identified as Mayank (15), a resident of Ambala Cantonment.
The accused have been identified as Sanchit and Karan, residents of Ambala Cantonment. They were produced before a court on Wednesday which sent Sanchit to one-day police remand while Karan was sent to judicial custody. The juvenile was also sent to an observation home. The accused had pushed Mayank in front of a running train in Ambala Cantonment.
An Ambala police spokesman said that Ghanshyam, a resident of Ambala, on February 8 in his complaint at the Ambala Cantonment police station stated that his son Mayank had gone to attend a party with his friends on February 7 but didn’t return. A case was registered and on February 11, a body was recovered by the government railway police from the railway track.
SHO Ambala Cantonment police station Ajaib Singh said the accused and the deceased were friends but they had some arguments on a petty issue, a few days before the incident, due to which the accused kept a grudge against Mayank. They pushed him in front of a train and fled from the spot.
