Kuldeep, a resident of Meharana village, filed a complaint with the Madlauda police, stating that his brother Anoop Singh (38) and his friend Jagdeep Singh (40) were traveling on a motorcycle to Urlana village. Kuldeep and Ramsharan, Jagdeep’s brother-in-law, were following them on another bike.

As they crossed Madlauda and reached Adiana village road, a speeding white car hit Anoop’s motorcycle from behind. Both Anoop and Jagdeep died on the spot. The police have registered a hit-and-run case and launched an investigation.

In another accident, a pedestrian was killed near Old Mandi when an auto-rickshaw hit him while he was crossing the road.

The deceased, identified as Chiman Lal, was a resident of Amar Bhawan Chowk. His nephew Naman told the Quilla police that they had gone to the old vegetable market on Sanoli Road. As Chiman Lal was crossing the road, an auto-rickshaw coming from Sanjay Chowk struck him.

He was rushed to the civil hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Following Naman’s complaint, police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

A 47-year-old man and his 13-year-old daughter died due to electrocution in Dinanath Colony, Panipat.

The victims, identified as Vasiuddin and his daughter Neha, were at their home when the tragedy occurred.

According to available information, Vasiuddin was lifting an iron girder to the roof when it accidentally touched a high-tension power line passing near his house. He was electrocuted on the spot.

Neha, seeing her father in distress, rushed to save him but also got electrocuted. Neighbours quickly took them to the civil hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

Authorities are investigating the safety hazards of power lines in residential areas to prevent such incidents in the future.
