Three brick kiln workers were killed in a wall collapse on Friday evening. They have been identified as Shambhu, Manoj and Pintoo of Banka district of Bihar and were working on the NBC brick-kiln at Khanda village.

Bhanu, another worker of the same village, was injured. The incident reportedly happened when the victims were loading bricks in a truck at the brick-kiln.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the victims to the Civil Hospital.

In another incident, a person identified as Kalim of Lakhimpur in UP was killed and three others were injured after a fire broke out in an industrial unit in Sonepat industrial area on Thursday. The fire reportedly broke out after bursting of a boiler in the Gurudutta chemical industrial unit. Satyawan, SHO, local police station said the family of the victims had been informed about the incident. Kalim’s body was handed over to his family members after the postmortem examination. — OC
