The yatra started from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Club and concluded at Shaheed Smarak after passing through Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk in Kanina. In Ateli, the yatra was taken out from the new bus stand to Jhanda Chowk.

Addressing participants in the yatra, Yadav said, “On the occasion of Independence Day, the whole country is taking out Tiranga Yatra on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Haryana, on the call of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Tricolour is being hoisted on each and every house.”

He further said, “The Tricolour is our pride. It’s a symbol of unity and integrity of our country. The purpose of this yatra is to make people feel proud of their country.” — TNS
