To lower AQI, Manesar MC sprays water on roads

To lower the local Air Quality Index (AQI) and protect residents from the effects of severe pollution, Municipal Corporation Manesar started spraying water on roads through anti-smog guns. A senior MC official said a team of Municipal Corporation is continuously spraying water.

“This initiative helps in settling road dust and reducing airborne particles, thereby maintaining better air quality,” he added.

The district administration is also considering cloud seeding or artificial rain as a temporary measure to reduce pollution levels following Diwali. The AQI in Gurugram was 240 today (in moderate category) while in Manesar, it was very poor at 309.

The MC informed through its X handle today that water was sprayed today at Naurangpur-Tauru road, Sector 78 and Sector 79.
