The Haryana unit of the Rashtriya Jan Udyog Beopar Sangathan has demanded the creation of an MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) grievance redressal board to ensure timely resolution of issues faced by small entrepreneurs.

Gulshan Dang, state president of the Sangathan, raised the demand while addressing mediapersons here on Saturday. He also emphasised the need for modern technology, digitalisation and branding support for MSMEs and suggested launching a separate technology development mission for the sector.

“The MSMEs form the backbone of India’s economy, and empowering them with proper policies, resources, and technology can open new avenues of employment for millions of youth but it seems that the benefits of ‘ease of doing business’ is limited only to big corporates,” he added.

Dang also said a large number of traders remained unaware of government welfare and development schemes, hence the Sangathan urged both Central and state governments to utilise trade associations as a bridge to disseminate information and motivate traders to avail the benefits of such schemes.

He said although several schemes were being implemented for the benefit of the traders , their impact remains limited due to the lack of information at the grassroots level.

“Many schemes launched for the welfare of traders are not reaching their intended beneficiaries. The government should use the platforms of trade organisations to ensure that the maximum number of traders benefit from these initiatives. If the traders remain deprived of these advantages, the very purpose of such schemes is defeated,” Dang stated.

He further said the Sangathan aimed at establishing a new tradition of dialogue between the government and the business community in the coming days. While appreciating the various schemes introduced for the MSME sector, Dang pointed out that small industries still faced numerous hurdles—ranging from obtaining electricity connections and factory licenses to securing environmental clearances.
