Discrepancy in electricity bill

THERE was a discrepancy in the electricity bill of my home. The bill on the hard copy that I got showed the total payable amount to be Rs 962, while when I checked the same online, it was Rs 486. As I highlighted the issue with the authorities before paying the amount, I was supposed to pay the lesser amount only. If I had not checked it online, I might have to pay the wrong amount. The concerned authorities must look into the issue as the same mistake may have been made with others also. — Sachin Nain, Panchkula
