Tributes continue to pour in for former CM Om Prakash Chautala

Several political leaders, prominent figures gather at Teja Khera village to pay their respects

Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala's passing has led to an outpouring of tributes from political leaders and dignitaries across the country. On Wednesday, several prominent figures gathered at Chautala’s farmhouse in Teja Khera village to pay their respects.

Among those who visited were Rajya Sabha Member Kiran Choudhary, Women & Child Development, Irrigation & Water Resources Minister of Haryana Shruti Choudhary, former minister Subhash Batra, boxer Vijender Singh, political leaders Chiranjeev Rao, Shamsher Gogi, and KC Tyagi. They paid homage to Om Prakash Chautala by placing flowers on his portrait.

Also offering condolences were Master Kanwar Singh, a saint from Radha Swami Ashram in Dinod, Bhiwani district, who praised Chautala for his dedicated service to society. "Chautala Sahib’s great contributions to the community will always be remembered," he said. Other dignitaries included Supreme Court Justices Surya Kant and Abdul Majid, as well as farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni.

Chautala's family members, including INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala, former ministers Chaudhary Ranjit Singh, and Ajay Singh, were also present. A large number of workers and supporters from Sirsa and various districts of the state have been visiting the Teja Khera farmhouse to offer their respects.

In honour of Om Prakash Chautala, a tribute ceremony will be held on December 31 at the stadium in Chautala village. Additionally, from December 27, a procession carrying the ashes of the late leader will travel across various districts of the state for people to pay their respects.
