Tributes paid to Satya Pal Malik, Pahalgam victims

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who is also the Leader of the House, read out the obituary resolutions. These include Satya Pal Malik, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Goa, Odisha, and Bihar, and Inder Singh Nain and Hari Ram Balmiki, both former MLAs, and freedom fighter Mangal Singh.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan also read the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls.
In the case of Malik, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said he should have got a state funeral.
The House also expressed deep sense of sorrow at the death of 26 persons who were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22.
This House places on record its deep sense of sorrow on the demise of 260 persons in the crash of Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London on June 12. In this tragic accident, the former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, also lost his life.
The House also remembered 43 soldiers from Haryana who showed courage and made the sacrifice while safeguarding the motherland.
