The 86th martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh Kamboj was marked at RD Arya Samaj Girls School in Holi Mohalla here on Thursday. Students, staff members and INLD leaders paid tributes to the legendary freedom fighter, who avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and laid the foundation for India’s freedom struggle.

Students showcased performances based on the life and sacrifices of Shaheed Udham Singh and Maharishi Swami Dayanand Saraswati, highlighting their values.

INLD district urban president Rajesh Kumar Singla emphasised the importance of drawing inspiration from the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

He said the Arya Samaj had supported the construction of the school building through generous donations.

Jai Parkash Kamboj, former Consumer Forum Judge, highlighted how Shaheed Udham Singh’s patriotism and courage were deeply rooted in Arya Samaj’s values.

He said Arya Samaj schools nurtured both education and moral values, adding that only a person with strong character could contribute to humanity.

INLD district president Surjeet Singh and social activists Gautam Jain, Sandeep Lather, Surjeet Singh, Kavita Dhankhar, Krishan Kutel and Achal Singh were among those present at the event.
