The police have arrested two men who allegedly robbed passengers while posing as auto-rickshaw drivers and threatening victims with an air gun. The police have seized the auto-rickshaw used in the crime, the air gun and the stolen mobile phone from their possession.

According to the complaint, filed by a man on the night of April 9, he was travelling with a friend in an auto-rickshaw from Subhash Chowk to Atul Kataria Chowk. During the journey, the auto driver stopped the vehicle near Signature Tower. At that point, two men, including the driver, threatened the victim with what appeared to be a pistol and robbed him of his mobile phone and Rs 300 in cash.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at the Civil Lines police station. Based on the investigation, the accused were arrested on Monday.

The arrested men have been identified as Amir, a resident of Palwal district and Mustafa, a native of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh.
