The police on Tuesday arrested two men for stealing a motorcycle. The police have recovered the stolen bike and a knife-like cutter from the possession of the suspects.

According to the police, the rider said on Monday he got a booking for his bike taxi service through an app and reached Begumpur Khatola, near Baharampur Road.

“When I reached the spot, two persons attacked me with a sharp object and fled away with my bike and mobile phone,” the victim said in his complaint.

An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the BNS at the Badshahpur police station on Monday. The police on Tuesday arrested the accused from Uttar Pradesh.

“The accused have been identified as Manish Kumar and Ayush. The stolen bike has been recovered from their possession and we are questioning them,” said Sandeep Kumar, a police spokesperson.
