Three persons sustained serious injuries following two blasts that took place in a cracker factory on the outskirts of the city on Ghoghripur road on Tuesday late evening.

The blast was so furious that it damaged the factory badly. A large portion of the factory turned into ash. The reasons behind the blasts are yet to be determined.

Police and forensic experts were on the job to determine the reasons till the filing of the news.

The injured persons are identified as Vijay Kumar (25), Vijay (22) and Pandi Shivam (28).

As per the residents, they were labourers and were working inside the factory when the blasts took place.

Dr Rakesh Jindal of Balaji Hospital, said that the trio were serious and efforts were being made to save their lives.

“The trio came here with 100 per cent burn injuries and they are serious. We are making efforts to save them,” said Dr Jindal.
