Two boys murdered at Kaithal village
In a shocking incident, bodies of two teenage boys were found near a drain at Barta village in Kaithal district on Monday morning. The victims have been identified as Arman (16) and Prince (14), both residents of the same village.
As per the police, initial investigations suggest the involvement of 10 teenagers in the gruesome crime. Preliminary findings indicate that the motive may have stemmed from a personal dispute — one of the victims allegedly passed a comment on the sister of one of the accused, which reportedly triggered the attack.
“Preliminary investigation reveal that the boys were killed by a group of 10 teenagers after one of the victims made a comment about the sister of one of the accused. We are probing all angles,” said Astha Modi, Superintendent of Police (SP), Kaithal.
The police said the bodies bore multiple injury marks caused by sharp-edged weapons, pointing to a brutal assault. The boys had left their homes around 5 pm on Sunday and never returned. Family members searched for them through the night, only to be met with tragic news the following morning. Local villagers found the bodies early Monday while working in nearby fields and immediately alerted the police. SP Modi, along with DSP (Headquarters), SHO, forensic experts, and other police officials, reached the spot and launched an investigation. Forensic teams collected evidence from the scene.
SHO Sadar, Sub-Inspector Mukesh Kumar, confirmed the police had identified the deceased and said, “The victims were attacked with sharp-edged weapons. We have recorded statements of their families. The bodies have been handed over to the relatives after postmortem, which have been cremated.”
A case has been registered and police teams are pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects. The officials said all angles were being explored to bring those guilty to justice.
