Two brothers were killed and a woman was injured when the motorcycle they were riding was allegedly hit by a tipper near Tunde Ki Tapriyan village on the Sadhaura-Ranjitpur road in Yamunanagar.

The deceased were identified as Jasbir and Surender Singh of Dhanana village in Ambala.

Jasbir’s wife Urmila sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

According to information, brothers Jasbir and Surender, and Urmila, had gone to visit a relative in Sabilpur village.

While returning on Thursday afternoon, their motorcycle was allegedly hit by a tipper near Tunde Ki Tapriyan village.

They sustained severe injuries, and were rushed to a hospital in Sadhaura.

Jasbir and Surender were declared dead at the hospital.

Urmila was referred to the Jagadhri Civil Hospital for further treatment.

The police have identified and registered a case against the driver of the tipper.
