The first incident occurred at Phase I of Sarojini Colony and the second incident took place in the ITI area, targeting businessmen.
In Sarojini Colony, two miscreants on a motorcycle fired three bullets outside the house of a textile trader, who had received death threats and was already under the police protection.
According to information, 15-20 minutes after the first incident, firing was reported outside the residence-cum-office of the owner of an engineering firm, in ITI area.
Two miscreants on a motorcycle reportedly fired four rounds at the office, damaging the glass door.
As family members of the industrialist informed cops, senior police officers rushed to the spot.
A forensic team recovered bullet shells and analysed CCTV footage from the area.
The police are now trying to determine whether both attacks were carried out by the same miscreants.
ASP Amarinder Singh said they were investigating the matter and they would nab the miscreants at the earliest.
