Same Singh, a retired army personnel of Chand Nagar, in a complaint to the Israna police stated that his son Rajiv, along with his two friends — Sunil and Sitender — were on way to Haridwar from Rohtak. He received a call at 1.30 am that Rajiv’s car had met with an accident. He reached the spot night and came to know that a speeding truck coming from the link road had hit his son’s car. Due to impact of the collision, his son Rajiv and Sitender died on the spot, while Sunil was seriously injured in the accident. Following complaint, the Israna police registered a case and began a probe into the matter. The police handed over bodies of the deceased to their families after conducting a post-mortem examination.
