Around 20-25 rounds were fired, of which some bullets were fired at the windshields of the cars and the windowpanes of the hotel. Two miscreants were involved in the firing. They have left a note, and it is being investigated. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.”
Kurukshetra Superintendent of Police Nitish Agarwal also reached the spot and issued directions to the investigating teams. The SP said, “Seven teams, including CIA-1 and CIA-2 have been formed to nab the suspects and our teams are also scanning the CCTV footage. They have taken the village routes to escape. The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained as the hotel owner has claimed that he hasn’t received any threat or extortion call.” This was the second firing incident in Shahabad this month.
