Hisar: Two students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUST), Hisar, have been selected in the on-campus placement drive of Jindal Industries Private Limited, Hisar, for the IT department, organised by the Training and Placement Cell of the university. Professor Narsi Ram Bishnoi, vice-chancellor of the university, congratulated the selected students.

Yamunanagar: Dr Harinder Singh Kang, principal of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar, inaugurated a five-day national online faculty development programme on the theme ‘Role of science and technology for a sustainable future’ in the college to commemorate National Science Day. Dr Mahavir Singh from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Dr Vikas Sharma from Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research, Ambala, and other dignitaries graced the occasion. Randeep Singh Jauhar, president of the Governing Body and Managing Committee, highlighted the college’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovation in the field of science and technology.

Design internship event concludes

Kurukshetra: National Institute of Design, Haryana, conducted a three-day Design Internship Programme for 77 students of Class XI of PM SHRI School, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra. The objective of the programme aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, i.e to make students aware of different aspects of higher education and professional work in an interactive manner. Four topics— Design Thinking and Creative Methods, Entrepreneurship and Business, Fun and Learn: CAD, and Lens and Light: A photography adventure—were covered during the programme. During the valedictory session, students were presented certificates by Haryana NID Director Dr Vanita Ahuja and Niranjan Singh, Principal, PM SHRI School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kurukshetra.
