The action has been taken after members of a family, residing at the Barfkhana area in Ambala Cantonment, on Saturday approached the Cabinet Minister and claimed that their residential electricity meter was disconnected by the department even when no dues were pending. Following the complaint, the minister had directed the Superintending Engineer to reinstall the meter, investigate the matter and take action against the employee responsible for the lapse.
