As part of the ongoing Ujjwal Drishti Haryana campaign, the Health Department distributed free eyeglasses to more than 150 elderly people and children across Sirsa district on Friday. The initiative, launched at both district and block levels, aims to eliminate avoidable vision impairment through timely screenings and distribution of spectacles.

Dr Bhadu emphasised that the primary objective of the campaign is to identify elderly individuals and children suffering from vision problems and to provide them with corrective lenses at no cost after proper screening.

Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Vipul Gupta added that the campaign is being implemented throughout the district under the National Health Mission. He noted that both school-going children and senior citizens will continue to receive comprehensive eye check-ups, with spectacles provided free of charge to those in need.

A similar event was also conducted at the Civil Hospital in Dabwali, where 50 individuals benefited from the distribution of free eyeglasses. The medical team present at the event included Dr Sukhwant Singh, Dr Vikas Bansal, Dr Harsimran Singh, Dr Gaurav Chhabra and Dr Saurabh Arora.
