District Town Planner (DTP) Rajesh Kumar said under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta, such drives are being conducted regularly across the district to curb illegal colonies.

“I led the team that demolished kutcha roads spread over an area of about 1.5 acres in Sasauli. The Naib-Tehsildar of Saraswati Nagar block was appointed as duty magistrate to maintain law and order, while the SHO of Farakpur police station and personnel from the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau were present during the operation,” he stated.

Kumar explained that notices had been issued to the defaulters under the Urban Area Act 8 of 1975, but they failed to comply with departmental orders. “The landowners did not obtain the necessary permissions before developing this colony, so demolition was inevitable,” he said.

He urged the public to avoid buying or selling plots in illegal colonies and warned that the district administration would continue to take action against such developments in accordance with the law.
