Singh said the present time was of science and technology. Only those nations were included in the category of economically prosperous nations, where focus was on science and technology globally, he said.

He said the focus of the university was to establish laboratories of international companies in the university so that the researchers studying and doing research at the university were aware of the latest technology and they could bring quality in their research by conducting experiments in these laboratories equipped with latest technology and prepare themselves for global-level competition.

Singh further said the laboratory had robotics, variable frequency drive, and programmable logic controller (PLC) equipment, which would benefit the researchers of the university. Mitsubishi Electric India would soon organise a faculty development programme so that teachers could also get updated with the latest technology and share this technical knowledge with the students, the Vice-Chancellor added.
