Veer Naris honoured during Army camp at Ludesar village

Sirsa, August 3
The 7th Light Cavalry Unit of the Army organised a camp in Ludesar, the village of brave martyrs, to address the issues of war widows, Veer Naris (gallantry award winners’ widows) and ex-servicemen. The event was attended by Lieutenant Colonel Ankush Sharma, Sheetal Patial, Major Gajendra Singh Tevatia and his wife Seema Tevatia, among others. They listened to the grievances of the participants and honoured Veer Naris. Social worker Vikram Indora welcomed the guests.
During the camp, Army officers addressed the various issues faced by war widows, Veer Naris and ex-servicemen. Colonel Sharma expressed his gratitude to Ludesar, highlighting the village’s contribution to World War I, World War II and post-Independence wars. The event witnessed the honouring of war widows Santosh Devi, Sulochana, Indira Devi, Joginder Kaur and Ramandeep.
The camp was attended by several veterans, including Harmel Singh, Gurbakhsh, retired officer Khushal Singh, retired Honorary Captain Mahendra Singh, retired Subedar Mahendra Singh, Naib Subedar Amar Singh, Sepoy Badri Ram, Sergeant Nihal Singh, Havildar Amar Singh, Subedar Mahendra Singh, Subedar Devendra Kasania, Sepoy Mukhram, Chokharam, Sergeant Jitendra Singh, Naik Ramswaroop, Havildar Satveer Singh and other members of the community.
