CM Manohar Lal Khattar held one-on-one discussions with representatives of about 10 major companies from Japan and the USA during the ongoing Vibrant Gujarat Summit today. He invited them to invest in Haryana.

At a meeting with a Japanese delegation, the CM welcomed the representatives of various companies in Japanese language. A consensus was reached between the governments of Japan and Haryana on formulating a hydrogen policy in the direction of clean-green energy.

Maruti Suzuki has also expressed its desire to adopt the plug-and-play policy and lay more emphasis on electric vehicles under the Haryana Government’s e-vehicle policy. Identification of a site is underway to establish a plant in the state for this purpose.

Khattar also held a meeting with Puneet Chandok, president, Microsoft India, and his delegation. The delegation said Microsoft would collaborate with the Haryana Government in the field of artificial intelligence. The CM directed state government officials to establish a joint collaboration cell for the convenience of Japanese firms.

A discussion was also held on opening a Japanese school in Gurugram. It is the first occasion when Japanese government officials have attended the summit along with representatives of Japanese firms.

The companies with whose representatives the CM held discussions were Jetro, Denso Corporation, Maruti Suzuki, Yamanashi Hydrogen, Air Water Company, Toyotsu Ambika Automotive Safety, JCCII India, besides representatives of Blackstone, UPS Logistics Company and Microsoft from the USA.
