While instructing the officials, he said that demolishing the old block and building a new one in the college would provide better facilities to students and staff. The old block of the college was constructed several decades ago and had become structurally weak.

The principal and staff of Government College also requested Vij to increase the number of seats in BCA and BBA courses by 100 each. They mentioned that there were only 100 seats for BCA while over 1,000 students had applied for admissions. Similarly, for BBA, 700 applications were received, but only 60 seats were available. Following the request, Vij directed the ACS of the Education Department to look into the matter and increase the number of seats by 100 each for both courses to accommodate more students.

Members of the management committee of Government School, Chhabiyana, met Vij and demanded reconstruction of the school building. They said the school was closed a few years ago and children were shifted to government school in Babyal, which was far away. Vij accepted the demand and recommended to the Education Department that a new school building be constructed there. Meanwhile, an elderly woman from Paras Nagar, mother of an Army officer, complained to Vij that a transformer was forcibly installed in front of her house. Although she had deposited the required amount with the Energy Department to have the transformer removed, no action had been taken so far. Following the complaint, Vij reprimanded the XEN concerned, and ordered that the transformer be replaced or relocated.

Similarly, a businessman from Ambala Cantonment submitted a complaint regarding a fraud involving Rs 17 lakh. He alleged that the accused purchased goods worth Rs 17 lakh from his firm but never made the payment. Vij directed the Mahesh Nagar Police Station to take appropriate action in the matter. He also issued directions in several other complaints.
