Residents of Bamdoli village under the Bahadurgarh sub-division today disrupted vehicular traffic on the Nahra-Nahri road for over an hour in protest against the inadequate supply of drinking water. Commuters were a harried lot as the blockade led to long traffic jams on the road.

However, the protest ended after officials assured the residents of resolving the issue soon. The residents said they had been struggling to get adequate drinking water for the past several days. The issue was also in the knowledge of the authorities concerned, but nothing was done to resolve it. The lethargic attitude of the authorities forced them to disrupt the vehicular traffic, they added.
