Jaspal Singh Gill, SDM of Vyaspur (Bilaspur), inspected check posts, set up to stop illegal mining and illegal transportation of mining minerals in the Ranjitpur area of Yamunanagar district on Saturday night.

Vinay Sharma, Mining Officer, Mines and Geology Department, Yamunanagar, accompanied him during the inspection.

The SDM said the employees posted at Mughalwali check post were found to be on duty.

“Inspector Pawan Kumar, in-charge of the check post, special police officer Gurcharan and Sharafat Ali were present on duty,” said Jaspal Singh.

He said three empty vehicles were found without number plates at Mughalwali check post.

He further said the in-charge of police post Ranjitpur and Inspector Vikas Yadav of the Regional Transport Authority, Yamunanagar, were called on the spot and Vikas Yadav issued challans to all three vehicles, which were found without number plates.

The SDM also inspected the check post of Sultanpur, where all employees Inspector Ravinder Chopra, who is in-charge of the check post, mining guard Madan Lal, special police officer Dharamveer and Suraj Bhan were present at the spot.
